Three items of late 19th to early 20th century jewellery. To include an oval-shape locket, with engraved garter detail and foliate embossed surround, an oval-shape woven hair mourning brooch and a mother-of-pearl circular-shape case pendant, containing three coins. Lengths 1.5 to 3.7cms
Overall condition fair to poor. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. The engraved garter detail to the locket is fairly worn in places and almost worn away, there are some significant scratches to the inside of the front casing. The small white beads to the woven hair brooch are loose and have become detached from the hair, there are also loose strands of hair. There are a couple of scratch and file marks to the reverse of the brooch. Two of the coins are significantly worn, with almost all of the detail worn away. The other coin is a Dutch 10cents coin dated 1921. The mother-of-pearl panel is a possible replacement, one panel deficient, scratches and scuffs visible.
