- Lot Description
BID ON THE-SALEROOM
ROLEX - a lady's Precision wrist watch. Circa 1949. Yellow metal case, stamped 18k 0,750. Reference 4211, serial 605115. Signed manual wind movement. Champagne dial with alternating Arabic numeral and baton hour markers. Fitted to an unsigned black leather strap with nickel plated pin buckle. 22mm.
Movement is not currently functioning. Movement is in a very poor condition with noticeable signs of rust. Dial appears to be in a poor condition with noticeable marks, scratches, tarnishing, some lifting of the laminate. Heavily discoloured. Hands show noticeable marks and tarnishing. Glass has noticeable scuffs and multiple scratches. Case shows scratches, marks and dints. Crown is currently functioning correctly; the surface has noticeable scratches and dinting. Strap shows wear with visible marks, creasing and discolouration. Buckle shows wear to the plating as well as marks and scratches. This lot does not come with box or papers. Fellows do not guarantee the working order or accuracy of any lots sold. Due to opening of the case back we recommend this watch is re-sealed by an authorised technician to ensure any stated water resistance is retained.
