BID ON THE-SALEROOM.COM
ROLEX - a gentleman's Oyster Royal wrist watch. Circa 1942. Stainless steel case. Reference 6246, serial 234375. Signed manual wind calibre 710. Silvered dial with arrow head hour markers, Arabic numeral three, six and nine. Fitted to an unsigned black leather strap with base metal pin buckle. 31mm.
Movement is currently functioning. Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye. Dial appears to have noticeable marks and scratches. Hands show marks and tarnishing with discolouration to the luminous paint. Glass has noticeable scuffs and multiple scratches. Case shows scratches, marks and dints. Crown is currently functioning correctly; the surface has noticeable scratches and dinting. Strap appears to be in good condition with minor marks and creasing. Buckle appears to be in good condition with minor marks and scratches when viewed under a 4x loupe. This lot does not come with box or papers. Due to opening of the case back we recommend this watch is re-sealed by an authorised technician to ensure any stated water resistance is retained.
