ROLEX - a gentleman's Oyster Perpetual Day-Date wrist watch. Circa 1979. 18ct yellow gold case with white metal yellow gold plated fluted bezel. Reference 18078, serial 6717756. Signed automatic calibre 3055 with quick date set. Champagne dial with baton hour markers, day and date apertures to twelve and three. Fitted to an unsigned brown leather strap with gold plated pin buckle. 36mm. Please see the condition report for details of third party intervention.
Movement is currently functioning. Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye. Dial appears to be in a generally good condition with no marks visible when viewed under a 4x loupe. Hands show noticeable marks and tarnishing. Glass has some scratches and marks when viewed under a 4x loupe. Case shows scratches, marks and dints. Third party gold plated white metal afterset bezel. The bezel should be bark effect. Crown screws down and is currently functioning correctly; the surface has light scratches and marking. Strap appears to be in good condition with minor marks and creasing. Buckle appears to be in good condition with minor marks and scratches when viewed under a 4x loupe. This lot does not come with box or papers.
