ROLEX - a gentleman's Oyster Perpetual Datejust wrist watch. Circa 1972. Stainless steel case with yellow metal fluted bezel. Reference 1601, serial 292545_. Signed automatic calibre 1570. Silvered dial with baton hour markers, date aperture to three. Fitted to an unsigned black leather strap with stainless steel pin buckle. 36mm.
Movement is currently functioning. Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye. Dial appears to have noticeable marks and scratches. Hands show noticeable marks and tarnishing. Glass has noticeable scratches and marks. Glass is cracked to the edge close to the 7 o'clock hour marker. Case shows noticeable scratches, marks and dints. Case back shows heavy scratches, bezel displays tarnishing and discolouration. Crown screws down and is currently functioning correctly; the surface has noticeable scratches and dinting. Strap appears to be in good condition with minor marks and creasing. Buckle appears to be in good condition with minor marks and scratches when viewed under a 4x loupe. This lot does not come with box or papers.
