- Lot Description
BID ON THE-SALEROOM
ROLEX - a gentleman's Oyster Perpetual Datejust bracelet watch. Circa 1991. Stainless steel case with yellow metal fluted bezel. Reference 16233, serial E829943. Signed automatic calibre 3135 with quick date set. Champagne dial with baton hour markers, date aperture to three. Fitted to an unsigned bi-metal bracelet with folding clasp. 36mm. Movement is currently functioning. Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye. Noticeable wear to the edges of the plates. Dial appears to be in a poor condition with noticeable marks, scratches, tarnishing, some lifting of the laminate. Hands show marks and tarnishing when viewed under a x4 loupe. Glass has some scratches and marks when viewed under a 4x loupe. Chips to edge. Case shows scratches, marks and dints. Heavily rubbed bezel. Crown is currently functioning correctly; the surface has noticeable scratches and dinting. Bracelet is in a poor condition, with heavy wear and signs of stretching, twisting or distortion of the links. Clasp is currently functioning and shows visible scratches and marks. This clasp is from an Oyster bracelet, not the Jubilee. Bracelet measures approximately 18cm including case. This lot does not come with box or papers. Due to opening of the case back we recommend this watch is re-sealed by an authorised technician to ensure any stated water resistance is retained.
