BID ON THE-SALEROOM
MIKIMOTO - a cultured pearl torsade necklace. Designed as a series of cultured pearl entwined strands, to the 18ct gold barrel-shape grooved clasp. Maker's mark for Mikimoto. Import marks for Birmingham, 1989. Length 42cms. With associated case.
Overall condition good. Clasp with surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear. Cultured pearls are a creamy-white colour, with rose overtones. Fairly good skins with some surface blemishes, to include pits. Minor nacre damage to some. Good lustre. Cultured pearls well matched. Stamped MP. Total weight 128.4gms.
