BID ON THE-SALEROOM.COM
MAPPIN & WEBB - a gentleman's wrist watch. Gold plated case with stainless steel case back. Numbered 0018. Unsigned quartz movement with quick date set. Copper dial with arrowhead hour markers, Roman numeral six, nine and twelve, date aperture to three. Fitted to a signed brown crocodile strap with gold plated pin buckle. 31mm.
Movement is currently functioning. Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible when viewed under a 4x loupe. Dial appears to be in a generally good condition with no marks visible when viewed under a 4x loupe. Hands appear to be in a generally good condition. Glass has some scratches and marks when viewed under a 4x loupe. Light chipping to edge of glass at eleven and two. Case shows light scratches and marks. Crown is currently functioning correctly; the surface has light scratches and marking. Strap appears to be in good condition with minor marks and creasing. Buckle shows marks and scratches when viewed under a 4x loupe. This lot does not come with box or papers. Fellows do not guarantee the working order or accuracy of any lots sold. Due to opening of the case back we recommend this watch is re-sealed by an authorised technician to ensure any stated water resistance is retained.
