Four Victorian Scottish silver table forks and five table spoons in Fiddle Shell pattern with engraved family crest, hallmarked Mackay & Chisholm, Edinburgh, dates from 1844 through to 1868. Together with two similar table forks with hallmarks for London 1854 and 1863. Weight 24.09 ozt (749.2 grams).
All the spoons and forks display general wear and many surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Also some tarnishing and residues of dirt and all would benefit from a clean and polish. Engraved crests are quite worn. Some heavier wear around edges and tips but overall the bowls have faired quite well. All the fork tines are worn or ground down and uneven in length. The hallmarks are mostly clear and legible, some rubbing to maker's marks.
