FASANO - a 1960s enamel and diamond cigarette case. Of grooved oval outline, the alternating green guilloche enamel and polished panels, with pave-set diamond push clasp. Signed and numbered Fasano, Torino, 605. Estimated total diamond weight 0.25ct. Length 8.8cms. Weight 114.6gms.
Overall condition fair. Some light surface scratches/ wear and minor discolouration in keeping with general age and wear. Enamel damage to central three enamel sections of the base to one side and slight enamel damage to one of the sections to the top near the terminal. Diamonds well matched. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Partial Italian marks. Later French assay marks.
