ETERNA - a gentleman's Airforce chronograph wrist watch. Stainless steel case. Numbered A714 850.4334.42 S. Signed quartz calibre 850 with quick date set. Silvered dial with baton hour markers, subsidiary recorder dials to three, six and nine, moon-phase indicator to twelve, date aperture to six. Fitted to an unsigned brown crocodile strap with gold plated pin buckle. 37mm. Box.
Movement is not currently functioning. We have replaced the battery but the movement still does not appear to be functioning. We have therefore been unable to test the chronograph function. Movement is worn with some surface rust and noticeable scratches and marks visible to the naked eye. Dial appears to have noticeable marks and scratches. Moon-phase aperture displays discolouration and heavy tarnishing. Hands show marks and tarnishing with discolouration to the luminous paint. Glass has some scratches and marks when viewed under a 4x loupe. Case shows scratches, marks and dints. Gold plating displays moderate to heavy discolouration. Crown is currently functioning correctly; the surface has noticeable scratches and dinting. Strap shows wear with visible marks, creasing and discolouration. Buckle shows noticeable marks and scratches. This lot comes with a box but no papers. Fellows do not guarantee the working order or accuracy of any lots sold. Due to opening of the case back we recommend this watch is re-sealed by an authorised technician to ensure any stated water resistance is retained.
