ELKINGTON & CO - a silver composite part canteen. Comprising of four serving spoons, dessert spoons, soup spoons, fish knives, large forks, large knives with stainless steel blades, three fish forks and one small fork, each with tapered handles and engraved initial terminal. Hallmarked Elkington & Co, Birmingham, 1949, 1941, 1940, 1936 and 1935. Gross weighable silver 1589gms (51 ozt).
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Some areas of significant tarnishing in places. Scratches and areas of discolouration to all. The fish knives and forks are a slightly different style and possibly not part of the original set with thicker handles and the initial 'D' has been engraved to other way around. There are some dents to the stainless steel blades. The large knives appear to have a hollow handle, with stainless steel blade. The weight of the knives has been excluded from the total weight. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
