ELGIN - a gentleman's De Luxe bracelet watch. Gold plated case with stainless steel case back. Reference 5803, serial 9550055. Signed manual wind calibre 555, numbered H255402. Silvered dial with Arabic numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six. Fitted to an unsigned bi-colour expandable bracelet. 26mm. Box.
Movement is currently functioning. Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye. Dial appears to be in a poor condition with noticeable marks, scratches, tarnishing, some lifting of the laminate. Hands show noticeable marks and tarnishing. Glass appears free of significant scratches or marks when viewed under a 4x loupe. Case shows light scratches and marks. Crown is currently functioning correctly; the surface has light scratches and marking. Expandable bracelet has light scratches and some signs of light stretching to links. Bracelet measures approximately 17cm including case. This lot comes with a box in used condition with moderate wear but no papers. Fellows do not guarantee the working order or accuracy of any lots sold. Due to opening of the case back we recommend this watch is re-sealed by an authorised technician to ensure any stated water resistance is retained.
