BID ON THE-SALEROOM.COM
EBEL - a gentleman's Discovery wrist watch. Stainless steel case with yellow metal calibrated bezel. Reference 4466, serial 183913. Signed quartz calibre 83 with quick date set. Black dial with Roman numeral hour markers, date aperture to three. Fitted to an unsigned brown leather strap with gold plated pin buckle. 38mm.
Movement is currently functioning. Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible when viewed under a 4x loupe. Seal is missing. Dial appears to be in an average condition with some light marks and scratches when viewed under a 4x loupe. The luminous paint shows moderate tarnishing. Hands show marks and tarnishing when viewed under a x4 loupe. Glass has some scratches and marks when viewed under a 4x loupe. Case shows noticeable scratches, marks and dints. Bezel rotates correctly. The case back displays heavy scratches and pitting. Crown is currently functioning correctly; the surface has light scratches and marking. Strap appears to be in good condition with minor marks and creasing. Strap is in a pleasant condition but the half on the 6 o'clock side has come apart at the lug. This will need sticking back down or replacing. Buckle appears to be in good condition with minor marks and scratches when viewed under a 4x loupe. This lot does not come with box or papers. Due to opening of the case back we recommend this watch is re-sealed by an authorised technician to ensure any stated water resistance is retained.
