- Lot Description
BID ON THE-SALEROOM
BREITLING - a gentleman's Windrider Astromat Longitude chronograph wrist watch. Stainless steel case with engraved case back and calibrated bezel. Reference A20405, serial 845. Signed automatic calibre B20 with quick date set. Blue dial with baton hour markers, subsidiary recorder dials to six, nine and twelve, date aperture to three. Fitted to a signed blue leather strap with stainless steel pin buckle. 40mm. Papers.
Movement is not currently functioning. There is play in the rotor and its is rattling inside the case. Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye. Dial appears to be in a generally good condition with no marks visible when viewed under a 4x loupe, however the luminous markers show discolouration and the date wheel shows marks when viewed under an eye glass. Hands show marks and scratches. Luminous inserts show some discolouration. Glass has scratches and marks. Case shows scratches, marks and dints. Case back has a personal engraving. Crown is currently functioning correctly; the surface has light scratches and marking. Pushers also show light scratches and marks. Strap shows marks and creasing. Buckle shows noticeable marks and scratches. This lot does not come with a box, but comes with papers to consist of a warranty booklet dated 27/12/1997. Due to opening of the case back we recommend this watch is re-sealed by an authorised technician to ensure any stated water resistance is retained.
