BID ON THE-SALEROOM
BOODLE & DUNTHORNE - an 18ct gold sapphire and diamond three-stone ring. The square-shape sapphire, to the old-cut diamond collet sides and plain band. Signed B&D. Estimated total diamond weight 0.30ct, I-J colour, SI2-P1 clarity. Hallmarks for London, 1998. Ring size M. Weight 6.1gms.
Overall condition good. Light surface scratches to band in keeping with general wear. Diamonds with scattered light and dark inclusions. Diamonds assessed within the limitations of the settings. One diamond with iridescence coming from one of the fractures. Sapphire medium blue hue, well saturated, with colour zoning to centre of stone and surface abrasions.
