- Lot Description
BID ON THE-SALEROOM
An open faced pocket watch by E. Gubelin. White metal case set with diamonds, stamped with the Swiss hallmark for Platinum. Numbered 43113. Signed keyless wind nineteen jewel movement with club tooth lever escapement. Silvered dial with Arabic numeral hour markers. 43mm. 46gms.
Movement is currently functioning. Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye. Dial appears to have noticeable marks and scratches. Dial shows patches of light to moderate tarnishing and heavy discolouration to the Arabic numerals. Hands show noticeable marks and tarnishing. Glass has noticeable scratches and marks. Case shows scratches, marks and dints. Some of the diamonds appear to be possible replacements. Crown is currently functioning correctly; the surface has noticeable scratches and dinting. This lot does not come with box or papers. Fellows do not guarantee the working order or accuracy of any lots sold. Due to opening of the case back we recommend this watch is re-sealed by an authorised technician to ensure any stated water resistance is retained.
