BID ON THE-SALEROOM.COM
An open face repeater pocket watch. Yellow metal case with split pearl decoration and later enamelled scene plate added to the case back. Unsigned key wind movement with pierced balance cock and repeating complication. Champagne dial with Roman numeral hour markers. 42mm. 65gms. Please see the condition report for details of third party intervention.
Movement is not currently functioning. Movement is worn with some surface rust and noticeable scratches and marks visible to the naked eye. Dial appears to be in a poor condition with noticeable marks, scratches, tarnishing, some lifting of the laminate. Hands show noticeable marks and tarnishing. Glass has noticeable scuffs and multiple scratches. Glass shows some small cracks. It is loose in the case and swivels around. Case shows noticeable scratches, marks and dints. A large number of the pearls are missing and the ones that areas still present are heavily scuffed and scratched. The panel is a later addition to the watch and is not fitted to the case. There is noticeable damage to the painted scene. This lot does not come with box or papers. Fellows do not guarantee the working order or accuracy of any lots sold. Due to opening of the case back we recommend this watch is re-sealed by an authorised technician to ensure any stated water resistance is retained.
