An open face pocket watch by Illinois Central. Gold plated case. Number 11352974. Signed keyless wind seventeen jewel movement with club tooth lever escapement, numbered 3791052. White enamel dial with Arabic numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six. 49mm.
Movement is currently functioning. Movement is worn with some surface rust and noticeable scratches and marks visible to the naked eye. Dial appears to have noticeable marks and scratches. Moderate discolouration is visible within the subsidiary seconds dial. Hands show noticeable marks and tarnishing. Replacement minute hand is misaligned towards the tip. Glass has noticeable scratches and marks. Case shows noticeable scratches, marks and dints. Case engraving has been heavily worn away. Crown is currently functioning correctly; the surface has noticeable scratches and dinting. This lot does not come with box or papers. Due to opening of the case back we recommend this watch is re-sealed by an authorised technician to ensure any stated water resistance is retained.
