An open face pocket watch. 18ct yellow gold case, hallmarked London 1837. Unsigned full plate key wind movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. Gilt dial with Roman numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six. 46mm. 71gms.
Movement is currently functioning. Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye. Some more obvious areas of marking can be seen to the centre. The fusee square chaton is missing a retaining screw. Dial appears to have noticeable marks and scratches. There is wear to the subsidiary seconds numerals. Hands show marks and tarnishing with discolouration to the luminous paint. Minute hand sits very high. Glass has noticeable scratches and marks. Noticeable chip to the edge. Glass is loose. Case shows scratches, marks and dints. Some rubbing to the engine turned design on the case back. Bow is currently functioning correctly; the surface has noticeable scratches and dinting. It is loose. This lot does not come with box or papers. Fellows do not guarantee the working order or accuracy of any lots sold.
