- Lot Description
BID ON THE-SALEROOM
An open face military issue pocket watch by Jaeger-LeCoultre. Base metal case. Stamped with British Broad Arrow, numbered F015679. Signed keyless wind movement with club tooth lever escapement. Black dial with Arabic numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six. 52mm.
Movement is currently functioning. Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye. Dial appears to be in a very poor condition, none of the original detail is legible. There are cracks across the entire surface of the dial. The Arabic numerals are cracked and display very heavy tarnishing. Hands show holes and discolouration to the luminous paint. Glass has noticeable scuffs and multiple scratches. Case shows significant scratching, obvious marking, some dents may be present and any plating has lifted. Crown is currently functioning correctly; the surface has noticeable scratches and dinting. This lot does not come with box or papers. Fellows do not guarantee the working order or accuracy of any lots sold.
