- Lot Description
BID ON THE-SALEROOM
An open face Kriegsmarine pocket watch. Base metal case with engraving to case back. Numbered 532374. Unsigned movement with club tooth lever escapement. Black dial with Arabic numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to twelve and six. 51mm.
Movement is currently functioning. Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye. Dial appears to have noticeable marks and scratches. Arabic numerals are heavily tarnished and are in a very poor condition. Hands show holes and discolouration to the luminous paint. Glass has some scratches and marks when viewed under a 4x loupe. Case shows scratches, marks and dints. Crown is currently functioning correctly; the surface has noticeable scratches and dinting. This lot does not come with box or papers. Due to opening of the case back we recommend this watch is re-sealed by an authorised technician to ensure any stated water resistance is retained.
