- Lot Description
BID ON THE-SALEROOM
An opal doublet and diamond cluster ring. The oval opal doublet cabochon, within a brilliant-cut diamond surround, to the tapered band. Estimated total diamond weight 1.60cts. Ring size M. Weight 7.9gms.
Overall condition good. Surface scratches in keeping with general wear. The opal doublet has strong blue and green play-of-colour, with moderate surface scratches. The opal doublet has a hairline fracture running off-centre through the stone. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. The diamonds are bright with fairly good clarity. French assay marks to the outer side of the band. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue and online for coloured gemstones.
