BID ON THE-SALEROOM
An opal and split pearl brooch. The oval opal cabochon, within a split pearl surround. Length 2.6cms. Weight 7.1gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Opal replacement. Opal white body colour, with limited play-of-colour, and some flat patches. Opal with a hairline crack to the top and residue of adhesive to the reverse. Split pearls well matched with a creamy-white colour, and limited lustre, many show surface blemishes and growth markings. Split pearls in good condition with minor abrasions.
