An enamel brooch. Of oval-shape outline, the late 19th enamel scene depicting a river running through a mountain range, within a later collet and rope-twist surround. Length 5.2cms. Weight 13.6gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. The enamel is in good condition to the front, there are some areas of possible damage to the back outer rim. Reverse of enamel panel possibly signed 'Lae de Buentz et de l'Agie. The enamel panel is loose within the collet mount. Replacement catch with visible soft solder.
