An Egyptian silver mug with moulded rim above a slightly tapering body and decorated throughout with foliate patterns and other stylised motifs surrounding a name engraved circular panel, together with a very similar example. Both with post 1946 Egyptian hallmarks including the 'Lotus Flower'. Height of tallest measures 4 1/8 inches (10.5 cm), combined weight 20.63 ozt (641.6 grams). (2).
Both mugs display general surface scratches, marks and wear. Some areas of quite heavy tarnishing are visible and both would benefit from a clean and polish. Some shallow dints and bumps. Heavier contact marks and scuffs to the bases of both. Floods of solder visible around the joins of the handles to the main bodies. The name panels are quite crudely engraved. The hallmarks to both are clear and legible.
