An Edwardian silver trophy cup of circular tapering form to a footed base, having a moulded rim, twin loop handles and presentation engraving to one side. Hallmarked Birmingham 1909, maker's mark worn. Height to handles measures 8 5/8 inches (22 cm), weight 11.81 ozt (367 grams). 'Bridgend Fat Stock Show 1910 Champion Prize for Cattle. Presented by E. F. Lynch Blosse Esq. Won by Mr Rees Thomas.'
The trophy displays general wear, surface scratches, and marks commensurate with the age and use. General tarnishing throughout and very heavy staining to interior, would benefit from a clean and polish. A couple of minor dints and the foot is slightly compressed so that it wobbles a little when standing. The hallmarks appear rubbed, date letter and maker's marks worn.
