BID ON THE-SALEROOM
An Edwardian silver novelty desk smoking compendium in the form of a boat, having open compartments for cigarettes and a hinged compartment at one end with vesta striker to the lid. Hallmarked Stokes & Ireland Ltd., Chester 1907. Length measuring 9 inches (22.8 cm), weight 2.76 ozt (86 grams).
The boat appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general wear, surface marks and scratches in keeping with the age and general usage. Some minor dints and edge nicks. Hinged lid appears in good working order. The hallmarks are clear and legible, maker's mark is a little rubbed but still legible. - Shipping Info
