An Edwardian commemorative silver pill box, the elongated octagonal form, enamelled to the hinged cover and surmounted with Coronation medallion, hallmarked London 1902, length measuring 3.8 cm. Together with an early twentieth century imported silver and yellow guilloche enamel vanity or trinket box of circular form and floral border and two further German enamelled examples to include one decorated with a cat. Gross weight 5.7 ozt (178 grams).
The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Coronation medallion significantly worn and rubbed. Significant chips to the enamel on the yellow and cat example. Further general scratches to the enamel work. Small personal inscription to the underside of the cat box. Hinges all in good working order.
