An early Victorian silver plate by Paul Storr, of shaped circular outline with applied decoration of trailing lily pads to the moulded rim and engraved family crest depicting the letter B below a crown surmounted with a rampant dragon. Hallmarked London 1838, also impressed to the base Storr & Mortimer and numbered 371. Maximum diameter measures 10 3/4 inches (27.5 cm), weight 19.90 ozt (619 grams).
The plate displays some patches and spots of tarnishing and would benefit from a clean and polish. General wear, surface marks, nick and scratches, which are heavier to the centre and around the base rim. A few minor dints. Remnants of sticker marks to the base. The hallmarks are clear and legible, also clearly impressed Storr & Mortimer and numbered 371.
