An early Victorian gem-set memorial ring. The two woven hair panels, within a split pearl surround, to the circular-shape garnet highlights and tapered shoulders. One split pearl deficient.
Overall condition fair. Surface scratches, discolouration and dents in keeping with general wear. Weight 4.4gms. It's base metal. one split pearl deficient. Split pearls with white body colour and nacre damage due to age. Garnet medium pinkish-purple, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Ring size approximately N 1/2. Suspected base metal.
