An early twentieth century silver mounted tortoiseshell purse, the hinged and tapered body inlaid with floral garlands, opening to a compartmentalised tan interior and further attached suspension chain. Hallmarked Horton & Allday, Birmingham 1919. Maximum width measuring 4 1/2 inches (11.5 cm).
In vey good overall condition. The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Clasp and hinge in good working order. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
