An early twentieth century silver mounted dressing table set, comprising a hand mirror, a pair of hair brushes, a pair of clothes brushes and a comb, each of shaped outline, monogrammed and engraved with floral sprays, all contained within a fitted and lined faux leather case. Hallmarked William Aitken, Birmingham 1915. Length of mirror measures 11 1/4 inches (28.5 cm).
All the pieces in the lot display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Mounts would benefit from a clean and polish. Some small dints and bumps. Floods of solder visible around seam lines, possible repairs? Mounts lifting a little in some areas and especially on the comb. Some rubbing and distortion but hallmarks are mainly clear and legible, also with registration number. Brushes are in used condition.
