An early twentieth century silver and tortoiseshell purse, the shaped and tapered body further inlaid with floral scrolls, opening to a compartmentalised leather interior and attached suspension chain with finger ring. Hallmarked Birmingham 1912. Maximum length measuring 4 1/2 inches (11.5 cm).
The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Solder repairs around the seam. Hinge and clasp in good working order. Hallmarks a little rubbed. Maker's mark possibly T. K. A.
