An early twentieth century continental silver box, the rectangular form decorated with a continuous band of floral and foliate scrolls and the hinged lid embossed with a hunting scene. Possible Hanau pseudo-marks for Jean L. Schlingloff (1907-c.1930), also with import marks for Arthur Graf, Chester 1908. Length measuring 9.7 cm, weight 79 grams.
The box appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general wear, surface scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some slight rubbing and flattening to areas of raised decoration. Hinges appear in good working order. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
