BID ON THE-SALEROOM
An early to mid 19th century French bronze and sienna marble mantel clock.Pons, Paris.The 3.75-inch dial with Roman chapter ring, the two-train movement with silk suspension, outside countwheel-striking on a bell, engraved 'Pons', the rectangular case with two-handled krater-type urn surmount over acanthus-cast cornice and conforming frieze on plinth and block feet, 16.5, (42cm) high.
Minor chip to front of case. dial slightly dull, would benefit from cleaning. Natural flaw through marble below rear door. Rear door has crack to glass. Minor chip to one corner of base. Pendulum bob severely trimmed. - Shipping Info
