An early George III silver sugar bowl of circular bellied form, having a shaped rim, engraved with a monogram below a crown and raised on three stepped hoof feet. Hallmarked William Skeen, London 1762. Height measures 2 1/2 inches (6.5 cm), weight 6.05 ozt (188 grams).
The bowl displays some general wear, surface scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some pitting marks visible to the interior and a slight impression from one of the feet. Remnants of sticker marks to underside. The hallmarks and maker's marks appear a little rubbed but are still clearly legible.
