An early 20th platinum and 18ct gold sapphire and diamond brooch. The circular-shape sapphire, within a rose-cut diamond surround and calibre-cut sapphire accents, to the rose-cut diamond sides. French assay mark. Length 6.8cms. Weight 5.6cms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discoloration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Diamonds well matched. Diamonds bright. diamond individually too small to assess color and clarity grades medium blue, well saturated, with moderate clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in good condition with minor abrasions. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. French assay mark to pin.
