An early 20th century silver and gold sapphire and diamond brooch. The replacement old-cut diamond and vari-shape sapphires, to the pave-set diamond petals and old-cut diamond stem. Estimated total diamond weight 1.90cts, principal diamond estimated K-L colour, P1 clarity. Length 4.5cms. Weight 9.8gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. The sapphires appear to be modern replacements. Some replacement modern brilliant-cut diamonds. Principal diamond has surface reaching fracture running through the diamond. Diamond fairly well matched. Diamonds fairly bright. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Sapphires medium hue, fairly well saturated, with moderate clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
