The cushion-shape ruby head, with demantoid garnet eyes, to the similarly-shaped ruby scrolling body with old-cut diamond sides and limbs. Maker's marks for Alabaster & Wilson. Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Tongue deficient, with screw fitting. Brooch fitting detaches. Diamonds well matched. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Demantoid garnets a vivid yellowish green hue and a slightly more muted yellowish green. Typical horsetail inclusions. Rubies are a well matched medium slightly purplish red hue, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.
