An early 20th century silver and gold ruby and diamond alligator brooch. Designed as a rose-cut diamond alligator with ruby eye detail. Length 5cms. Weight 4.6gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Diamonds well matched. Diamonds bright. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. ruby medium red, well saturated, with moderate clarity Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.
