An early 20th century silver and gold reverse-carved intaglio and diamond brooch. The circular rock crystal cabochon, carved to depict a horse-drawn carriage, within a rose-cut diamond surround, to the openwork gallery and mother-of-pearl reverse. Diameter 3cms. Weight 12gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Mother-of-pearl backing possible replacement. Possible slight restoration to some of the paintwork. Slight general deterioration to the paint. Crackling to the 'sky' of the scene. Diamonds well matched.
