An early 20th century platinum pearl and diamond brooch. Of rectangular outline, the openwork lattice within an old-cut diamond surround, to the overset similarly-cut diamond flowers and split pearl highlights. With French marks. Length 6.9cms. Weight 9.9gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. Diamond fairly well matched. Diamonds fairly bright. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Stones in poor condition with significant abrasion, chips and nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
