An early 20th century platinum diamond brooch. The old-cut diamond collet and rose-cut diamond wreath, within a wirework and similarly-cut diamond floral circular-shape surround. May be worn as a pendant. Estimated total old-cut diamond weight 0.50ct. Diameter 4.3cms. Weight 14.3gms.
Overall condition fair to poor. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear. Areas of damage to the frame of the brooch, where sections have split. Replacement diamonds and sharp settings. Diamonds fairly well matched. Diamonds fairly bright. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. later brooch and pendant fitting, possibly originally part of a larger piece.
