BID ON THE-SALEROOM
An early 20th century platinum Burmese ruby and diamond cluster ring. The oval-shape ruby, measuring 7.26, 6.54 by 3.92mms, within a brilliant-cut diamond scalloped surround, to the plain band. Accompanied by report number 20025966, dated 03.11.15, from AnchorCert stating the ruby is Burmese and no evidence of treatment with observed. Estimated total diamond weight 0.35ct. Weight 3.5gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Diamond fairly well matched. Diamonds fairly bright. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Ruby has medium red to pink body colour. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Ring size R 1/2. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
