An early 20th century platinum and gold seed pearl and diamond brooch. Designed as a seed-pearl, old and rose-cut diamond sprig, to the plain bar. Length 6.2cms. Weight 4.5gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Small slightly heavier localised scratch to the bar and pin which would polish out fairly easily. Old-cut diamond bright. Rose-cut diamonds well matched fairly bright. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. Estimated old-cut diamond weight under 0.10ct. Old-cut diamond chipped with a portion deficient to the edge. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Seed pearl yellowish-white, with some pink and green overtones fairly good lustre and typical surface blemishes and slight blisters. Seed pearl in fairly good condition with minor abrasions. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
