An early 20th century opal 9ct gold and split pearl pendant. The circular opal cabochon, within a split pearl openwork surround, to the split pearl tapered surmount and later curb-link chain. Length of pendant 4.7cms. Length of chain 43.7cms. Total weight 5.9gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Opal has a white body colour with green and blue flashes of colour typical inclusions. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. split pearls, have poor skins, creamy colour with olive and rose overtones Stamped 375.
