An early 20th century gold stickpin. The Gothic script initial 'E' and crown surmount, to the horseshoe surround and pin. Dutch marks. Length of stickpin head 1.8cms. Weight 3.9gms. With gilt monogram tooled case.Presented by Queen Emma of Waldeck-Pyrmont, second wife of William III of the Netherlands (1858-1934).
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Slight abrasion to the monogram, general slight discolouration. Case shows general wear. Case with gilt tooled monogram and crown to cover. Wear to the silk covering the hinge. Stamped to silk 'C. P. T. Hart, Juwelier, Den Haag. '.
