An early 20th century gold ruby and diamond cluster ring. The old-cut diamond, within an alternating circular-shape ruby and old-cut diamond surround, to the scrolling shoulders and plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.25ct. Weight 3gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Diamond fairly well matched. Diamonds bright. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Rubies medium slightly purplish-red, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions. One ruby has a dark coloured surface reaching inclusions. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Ring size P 1/2.
