An early 20th century gold diamond, split pearl and enamel fraternity pin. The 'Theta Delta Chi' black and blue enamel shield, with diamond point accents and split pearl border, to the reverse with personal inscription 'F.W Cooper, Dec 9 1911'. Length 1.6cms. Weight 4.9gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear in keeping with age and general wear. Pin broken. Some scratches and nicks to the enamel. Due to the nature of the diamond point it has not been possible to prove an accurate total diamond weight. Diamonds in fair condition with significant nicks and chips. Split pearls fairly well matched, some replacements. Creamy colours, fair skins with some surface wear and blemishes. This pin is from McGill University in Canada, charge of Theta Delta Chi called the Zeta Deuteron. This chapter was founded in 1902 and went defunct in 1972.
